You will setup and test video conferencing equipment, projectors, displays, and lighting while diagnosing AV/IT issues both on-site and remotely. Collaboration with engineers and project managers is essential, with user support and basic training provided.

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Audio Visual Technician based in Abu Dhabi, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. The Audio Visual Technician will install, configure, and maintain AV systems for corporate, educational, and commercial environments. Daily responsibilities include setting up and testing video conferencing equipment, projectors, displays, and lighting systems, as well as performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues on-site and remotely, collaborating with engineers and project managers, and providing user support and basic training. The technician will also assist with documentation of system configurations and contribute to continuous improvement of AV standards and practices.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting AV and IT-related issues to quickly identify and resolve faults.
• Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and equipment, ensuring reliable meeting and collaboration setups.
• Hands-on experience with Lighting and Projectors, including setup, alignment, and optimization for different environments.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts related to AV over IP and integrated IT/AV solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users of varying technical backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a project-based environment.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in electronics, IT, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron) are an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-site at client locations in Abu Dhabi and occasionally in other Middle East locations as required.
