Role Overview:
As an Audio Visual Manager, you will participate in the construction and maintenance of our studios. It's your job to ensure that programs are broadcast on time and of the highest quality. You will carry out updates and repairs as well as operate and maintain the systems. The ideal candidate should be able to build studios from scratch according to provided plans and diagrams, manage the technical support team, and maintain various broadcast systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and testing new facilities and equipment.
- Maintaining equipment for video production, broadcast, and interactive media.
- Setting up and monitoring audio-visual links between units.
- Analyzing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems.
- Minimizing service loss during equipment failure by quickly identifying and implementing alternative solutions.
- Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts.
- Designing and installing custom audio-visual circuits.
- Designing and manufacturing hardware and systems.
- Developing awareness of workplace health and safety practices.
- Interpreting and implementing instructions from product owners, creative directors, and colleagues.
- Communicating effectively within the team and with other colleagues.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements by building a network of contacts and exploring new systems and techniques.
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of photography concepts such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, and camera lenses.
- Experience in electronic engineering and communication equipment.
- Advanced proficiency in operating video cameras.
- Advanced knowledge of production video switchers.
- Experience with live chroma keying.
- Strong understanding of SDI infrastructure.
- Sufficient color vision and hearing capabilities.
