Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician to set up, operate, and maintain audio and video equipment for outlets, events, meetings, and presentations. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless audiovisual experience for clients and audiences.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set up and install audio and video equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, and related electronic equipment.
- Operate sound boards, adjust levels, and troubleshoot issues during events or presentations.
- Operate, maintain, and repair all audio, visual, lighting, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with event planners, producers, and other staff to ensure audiovisual requirements are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of audiovisual equipment.
- Keep abreast of new audiovisual technologies and industry trends.
- Work closely with the IT department to integrate audiovisual systems with the hotel’s network for streaming and conferencing capabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logbooks, shop drawings, and equipment catalogues.
- Assist in setting up and operating AV equipment for various events and meetings.
- Be fully aware of the hotel's recreation facilities, evening programs, and show timings.
- Operate projection systems, visual splitters, build truss constructions, wireless microphones, and set up frequencies. Use light desks, DMX addresses, program light desks, connect DMX splitters, and manage shows.
- Maintain an archive of hotel music for entertainment activities, nightclubs, lobby, restaurants, and bars.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as an Audio/Visual Technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of audio and video equipment, cabling, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with software and hardware used in the audiovisual field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Certification in audiovisual technology or a related field is a plus.
