Job description

This is a distinctive, high-potential opportunity for an exceptional graduate to join our onshore UAE banking operations at the Associate level. Unlike traditional graduate programmes, this role places you directly into the heart of the wealth management business, working with High Net Worth (HNW) clients across the Emirates

You will gain end-to-end exposure to the full lifecycle of private banking, from business development and investment management to operational processes and UAE regulatory compliance. This cross-functional role is designed to fast-track the next generation of UAE-based private banking leaders.

Key Accountabilities:
Business Development & Client Acquisition
  • Support senior relationship managers in identifying and acquiring HNW and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients across the UAE.
  • Assist in preparing pitch books, financial proposals, and tailored presentations for prospective clients, with a focus on both onshore and international investment needs.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategies aimed at growing Assets under Management (AUM) and liabilities under the advisory model.
Relationship Management
  • Act as a supporting officer for a portfolio of UAE-based clients, ensuring a superior level of service and responsiveness.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients to understand their financial goals, family structures, and risk tolerance, taking into account the unique cultural and generational dynamics of the region.
  • Coordinate with internal product specialists (credit, treasury, investment) to deliver holistic banking and Sharia‑compliant solutions where applicable.
Investment Management Support
  • Assist in the construction and monitoring of discretionary and advisory investment portfolios, with exposure to GCC equities, fixed income, real estate, and international markets.
  • Conduct market research and performance attribution analysis, keeping abreast of regional economic trends and global financial developments.
  • Support the team in preparing investment committee materials and client reporting.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations, including AML/CFT (Anti‑Money Laundering / Combating the Financing of Terrorism) guidelines.
  • Prepare and review client onboarding documentation, ensuring all KYC records are complete, accurate, and compliant with UAE data protection and banking secrecy laws.
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring of client accounts for suspicious activity and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Operational & Credit Support (Lombard Lending)
  • Gain exposure to Lombard lending and other credit facilities offered to UAE private banking clients, understanding how leverage is structured against investment portfolios.
  • Assist in monitoring collateral, margin requirements, and portfolio valuations to ensure compliance with credit risk policies.
  • Collaborate with operations teams on trade settlements, corporate actions, and account maintenance to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualification:
  • Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university.
  • Preferred disciplines: Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting.
  • Strong academic track record; candidates with professional aspirations toward CISI, CFA, or CFP qualifications will be viewed favorably.
Experience:
  • Basic understanding of the UAE regulatory landscape (CBUAE, AML, KYC) and a strong commitment to compliance.
  • Natural interest in business development, revenue generation, and building client relationships.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, construct investment proposals, and present insights clearly.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a distinct advantage for client‑facing interactions.
  • Highest standards of professional ethics and client confidentiality, aligned with UAE banking culture.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Bloomberg or financial modelling tools is a plus.
