Emirates in Dubai is seeking an Associate Technical Product Owner to join our Technical Product Management team. You will help build and evolve digital products across Digital, Airline and Airport Operations, Group Services, and Commercial domains.

You will translate prioritized features into decomposed user stories, work with TPMs and POs, and support PI Planning, metrics, and a growing Product Owner community within a world-leading airline.

Qualificações

• Degree in Operations Research, Marketing Science, Information Systems, e-Commerce or related certifications.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in product management or related roles.
• 2+ years experience in a technology function leading toward product management.
• Scaled Agile experience is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and capture team-driven innovation ideas across peers for consolidation and playback.
• Own the story content, acceptance criteria, and end-story sign-off across team backlogs.
• Capture and prioritize Technical Debt and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Contribute to PI Demo preparation with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the Portfolio.
• Define metrics to measure success and guide future BAU iterations within capacity.
• Attend PI Planning meetings and participate in management reviews and community growth.

Associate Technical Product Owners (ATPO)

are the are the first step on the ladder of roles in the Technical Product Management Succession Path, where the focus is upon learning and development gathered via experiencing the role first hand at a team level. This may be from direct `Team Facing' Product Owner (PO) responsibilities, or by supporting Technical Product Owners (TPOs) / Technical Product Managers (TPMs) in a more complex team environment, also via the `team facing' aspect.

The ATPO acts as a voice of the customer/stakeholder, ensuring value is at the core of everything they do, and ensuring sufficient measurement can be achieved post delivery. Working closely with the Technical Product Managers and Technical Product Owners, the ATPO consume details of the prioritised Features, and translates them into the decomposed story definition for their teams.

Job Outline

• Working with your team(s) to identify and capture team driven innovation ideas, consolidating across peer group for playback up to TPM community.


• Responsible for the story content, acceptance criteria definition, and end story `sign off' across team backlogs, ensuring prepared on time for future PIs, refined frequently with the entire team, and prioritised accordingly in alignment with other team backlogs.


• Ensures Technical Debt and NFRs are captured, refined, and prioritised across all sprints.


• Captures additional BAU, Ceremony, and Spike activities, and incorporates into team backlogs, within the boundaries of available capacity.


• Prepare contribution to PI Demo, in conjuction with other applicable stakeholders.


• Maintain the quality and integrity of features within their technical and team boundaries, ensuring identification and contribution of risks and dependencies back to the Product Portfolio backlog.


• Attends Management meetings, in particular PI Planning.


• Defines metrics to measure the success and performance of prioritised work, ensuring any further BAU iterations can be proposed and prioritised accordingly within the boundaries of available capacity.


• Participates and contributes in growing a community of Product Owners, and continuously identify opportunities for improvement and growth.


• Contribute to the Portfolio Product Management Playbook and its continual evolution to help drive efficient practices and empowered teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Operations Research, Marketing science, Information Systems, e-Commerce or a combination of industry certification and 12+ years of relevant experience


• 2+ yrs practical experience working in a role inside or outside of a Technology function, where the experience gained is suitable enough to qualify the individual to commence their career in Product Management, via the role of Associate Technical Product Owner.


• Whilst not essential, some experience of working within a Scaled Agile framework is desirable.
