Job summary

Egis in Dubai seeks an Associate, Structures to lead design and delivery of structural solutions across diverse projects. You will work with architects, contractors and clients to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Chartered mindset or equivalent, 10+ years of experience, and strong CAD/analysis skills in a fast-paced environment within the UAE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
  • Proven Project Engineer experience on multiple structural projects.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools (2D/3D).
  • Understanding of design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and development of structural solutions across project stages.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations, and 3D models with CAD tools.
  • Conduct structural analyses, risk evaluations, and buildability reviews.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants for coordination.
  • Support Project Engineers and Managers with timelines, budgets, and quality.
  • Review deliverables and provide feedback to maintain high standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
  • Contribute to proposals and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ procedures on all projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster teamwork.
  • Stay current with Dubai codes and regional practices.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Associate, Structures to join our dynamic engineering team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working collaboratively with experienced professionals and clients, you will develop your technical expertise while supporting the successful execution of complex structural engineering initiatives.   • Assist in the design, analysis, and development of structural solutions for projects at various stages, from concept through detailed design and construction
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and 3D models using industry‑standard CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards
  • Conduct structural analysis and assessments, including risk evaluation and buildability reviews, to support project delivery
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and consultants, to ensure seamless project coordination and client satisfaction
  • Support Project Engineers and Project Managers in managing project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on technical deliverables produced by team members, maintaining high engineering standards
  • Participate in client presentations and project meetings, effectively communicating technical concepts and design rationale
  • Contribute to proposal development and project documentation under the guidance of senior team members
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) procedures and requirements on all projects
  • Support the mentoring and development of junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Stay current with industry best practices, building codes, and construction techniques relevant to the Dubai market and broader region
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering or a related field
  • Proven track record working as a Project Engineer on multiple structural projects
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools for 2D and 3D modeling
  • Solid understanding of structural design principles, concept design, detailed design, and construction techniques
  • Knowledge of procurement routes, risk assessment methodologies, and claim assessment processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi‑disciplinary team environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with quality assurance, health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) compliance requirements
  • Understanding of local building codes and regulations relevant to the United Arab Emirates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer (CE) or equivalent professional certification
  • Experience working on large‑scale or complex structural projects
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced 3D modeling techniques
  • Experience in client relationship management and proposal preparation
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards
  • Experience working in the Middle Eastern construction market
