Job description

Physician Position in Anesthesiology at CCAD

This position involves applying medical knowledge and skills for diagnosing, preventing, and treating illnesses within the Anesthesiology Institute, specifically in the General Anesthesia specialty at CCAD. The role operates under the supervision and guidance of a Consultant physician, directly treating patients and making referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and provide care to patients within the General Anesthesia specialty at CCAD.
  • Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Analyze records, reports, and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
  • Interact with patients to gather medical history and information.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or treatments with patients.
  • Provide treatments and perform operations to address medical conditions.
  • Evaluate patients and document notes for treatment records and referrals.
  • Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
  • Perform surgical procedures as appropriate.
  • Provide culturally sensitive and appropriate care.
  • Participate in administrative functions such as committees and performance improvement measures, following ethical and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide hospital on-call inpatient coverage as needed.
  • Adhere to clinical privileges, policies, and procedures of the Physician Staff.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience post-qualification in an internationally accredited institute for Associate Staff (Specialist).
  • UAE nationals require at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in the specialty.
  • Demonstrated expertise and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Compliance with Maintenance of Certification requirements where applicable.
  • Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
Education Requirements

MD, MBBS, MBChB, or DO from an accredited institution, with specialty qualification as per recognized standards (e.g., American Board of Medical Specialties or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada).
