Position Overview

StepStone is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the Business Development team to support existing client managers and business development professionals in managing outreach, with a primary focus on the Middle East.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Proactively use Salesforce to build prospect lists, manage events, and perform daily updates.
  • Collaborate daily with the sales team to build sales momentum and identify opportunities.
  • Coordinate between the asset class and sales teams.
  • Assist in constructing customized presentations for managed accounts and bespoke opportunities.
  • Plan events, including logistical support such as AV setup, venue arrangements, presentations, and invite lists.
  • Respond to information requests via email and phone.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and prospects when applicable.
  • Manage existing client data requests.
  • Assist in building prospective roadshows and fundraising campaigns.
  • Generate reports for internal use.
  • Upload and maintain research data within Salesforce.
  • Travel to different StepStone offices and event locations as needed.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Related experience in client service within financial services, alternative funds, corporate administration, or similar fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of open and closed-ended structures.
  • Motivated, with demonstrated initiative, independence, and adaptability.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, and SharePoint or similar databases.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for private markets.
  • Confidence in communicating with diverse audiences, including senior team members.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and enthusiasm for growing StepStone’s client base across asset classes.
  • Interest or experience in the Middle East market.
