Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector to support the project team in maintaining product conformity through routine inspections and tests. The role involves following the Project Quality Plan, documenting results, and coordinating with operations and clients to address non-conformities.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or higher, at least 2 years in inspection-related quality control, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through inspections, surveillances, and tests.
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution.
• Assist in appraising product quality against drawings and inspection & test plans.
• Document all inspection results and raise actions for corrective actions when non-conformities exist.
• Coordinate with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, and subcontractors to ensure conformity to project specifications.
• Perform field inspections per project specifications and scope of work as noted in the Project Quality Plan/ITPs.
• Support adherence to procedures and plans through audits and surveillance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Quality Inspector can utilize existing inspection procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to inspection and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through independent inspections, daily surveillances, and tests by the Project Quality Plan
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in appraising product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance to the approved drawings and inspection & test plan
• All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector /Quality Inspector in coordinating the interface with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing, personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in performing field inspections by project specifications and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan/ITPs
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in confirming adherence to applicable procedures and plans by effective audit and surveillance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection
