Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. in Dubai seeks an Associate Quality Inspector to assist with routine inspections and ensure product conformity to project specifications.

You will document results, raise non-conformities, and support corrective actions under guidance from the Senior Quality Inspector. Proficiency with MS Office is expected, and prior quality control experience will help in coordinating interface with operations and clients on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or degree in relevant field.
• 2+ years of quality control or discipline-related experience in Inspection.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Associate Quality Inspector can utilize existing inspection procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to inspection and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality inspector in determining product conformity to customer specifications through independent inspections, daily surveillances, and tests by the Project Quality Plan
• Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in appraising product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance to the approved drawings and inspection & test plan
• All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector /Quality Inspector in coordinating the interface with operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing, personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in performing field inspections by project specifications and scope of work as noted within the Project Quality Plan/ITPs
• Assist the Senior Quality Inspector/Quality Inspector in confirming adherence to applicable procedures and plans by effective audit and surveillance
