Job summary

ABB is seeking a capable Project Management Associate to lead small projects with low complexity onsite in Abu Dhabi. You will support project managers, ensure activities follow procedures, and apply basic scheduling to manage risks.

You’ll coordinate with engineering, SCM, finance, and factory teams, track milestones, resources and budgets, and assist in day-to-day coordination.

A bachelor’s in engineering and 0-3 years’ PM experience, plus strong English and communication, are required.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 0-3 years’ experience in project management.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• English language is must.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium size projects.
• Monitor and control project progress, resources, and budgets.
• Identify, quantify, and manage project risk; pursue opportunities.
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out, and customer acknowledgement.
• Support project engineering documentation.
• Assist PMs in day-to-day coordination tasks.
• Track project actions, milestones and schedules.
• Coordinate shipment of materials based on project scope.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, SCM, finance, factory).
• Perform other project work as assigned.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of small projects with low complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively. In addition, Supporting project managers in their day-to-day project activities and documentation.

The work model for the role is: Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading small to medium size projects
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
• Support project engineering documentation
• Assist PMs in day-to-day coordination tasks
• Track project actions, milestones, and schedules
• Coordinates shipment of materials based on project scope
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, SCM, finance, factory)
• Performs any other projects work as assigned.
