Job description

The School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Engineering to begin teaching in Fall 2025. Applicants in the areas of Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, and Internet of Things will be considered.

The successful candidate should have:

1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering.
2. Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment.
3. A track record of teaching and research in one or more of the specified areas. Industrial experience is highly desirable.
4. Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
5. Ability to work in a team.

The School of Engineering at AUD offers ABET-accredited undergraduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil, Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s program in Construction Management. The compensation package for this position is competitive and is based on the expatriate model.
