Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver Lectures and Seminars: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in healthcare management, such as health policy, healthcare finance, organizational behavior, or health information systems.
  • Course Design: Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessment tools.
  • Student Mentorship: Advise and mentor students academically and professionally, including supervising theses or capstone projects.
  • Conduct Research: Engage in original research in healthcare management, health systems, public health policy, AI, or related fields.
  • Publish Work: Publish articles in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to books or academic conferences.
  • Grant Writing: Apply for research grants and funding from academic, governmental, or private organizations.
  • Collaborative Research: Work with colleagues, healthcare institutions, or policymakers on joint research projects.
  • Departmental Duties: Serve on departmental, college, or university committees (e.g., curriculum committees, faculty senate).
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with local healthcare organizations or government bodies on initiatives that benefit public health.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with changes in the healthcare sector and in educational best practices.
  • Leadership Roles: May take on leadership roles such as program coordinator, committee chair, or advisor for student organizations.
  • Supervise Graduate Students: Guide students in their research and career development.
  • Field Placement Support: Assist students with internships or fieldwork placements in healthcare organizations.
  • Program Review: Contribute to the accreditation processes and quality assurance of academic programs.
  • Assessment: Participate in student learning outcomes assessment and program evaluation activities.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Ph.D. or equivalent in management, artificial intelligence, healthcare

administration, or a related field

• Leadership Experience with proven track record in academic

administration

• Deep understanding of management principles, AI applications in

healthcare, and emerging trends in the field will be an added advantage

• Research Expertise with strong background in leading impactful

research and securing funding from external sources.
