Job summary

Khatib & Alami is seeking an Associate Principal – Water Sector in the United Arab Emirates to lead major water infrastructure projects and drive technical excellence, client engagement, and business growth.

You will oversee design teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality deliverables across potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and irrigation networks. The role requires senior leadership and regional consultancy experience.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of water/wet utilities design experience in a leading consultancy.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong design experience in potable water, wastewater, stormwater and irrigation networks.
• Proven leadership in managing design teams, project delivery, and technical reviews.
• Experience coordinating with roads, dry utilities, MEP, and authority stakeholders.
• Middle East consultancy experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead major water infrastructure and master planning projects.
• Provide technical oversight for water and wet utilities designs.
• Review design calculations, drawings, reports, and tender documentation.
• Manage project resources, schedules, quality, and client coordination.
• Liaise with authorities to secure approvals and NOCs.
• Mentor engineering teams and support business development initiatives.
