Job summary

International Schooling is seeking an Associate Principal / Associate Head of School to join our global online K-12 leadership team. You will work with the CEO and senior leaders to maintain high academic standards, support teachers and students, and drive continuous school improvement.

You will oversee curriculum implementation, accreditation readiness, and strategic operations while promoting inclusive education across remote and international teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership.
• Valid teaching license or credential.
• Strong classroom teaching and school leadership experience.
• Experience with international curricula (American/IB/Cambridge/IGCSE).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to analyze academic data and make evidence-based decisions.

Position Overview

The Associate Principal / Associate Head of School will support the academic and operational leadership of our global online K-12 school.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to maintain high academic standards, support teachers and students, strengthen parent engagement, ensure accreditation compliance, and drive continuous school improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the KG-12 curriculum
• Monitor academic performance, student achievement, and learning outcomes
• Maintain consistent quality across Group Learning and One-to-One Learning programs
• Develop and implement academic policies and procedures
• Promote effective teaching, assessment, and student-centred learning practices

Faculty & Staff Management

• Lead, mentor, support, and evaluate teaching faculty
• Assist with teacher recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Build a positive and collaborative culture across global and remote teams

Student and Parent Support

• Monitor student progress and identify students requiring additional support
• Ensure effective academic counselling, career guidance, and pastoral care
• Oversee student discipline and behavioural support
• Conduct regular parent-student meetings
• Maintain clear, respectful, and transparent communication with families
• Promote inclusion, diversity, and equity throughout the school

Accreditation & Compliance

• Support compliance with NEASC, WASC, and Cognia accreditation standards
• Assist with accreditation self-studies, reviews, evidence collection, and improvement plans
• Maintain compliance with College Board and NCAA requirements
• Monitor regulatory changes and support the school’s timely response

Operations & Strategic Leadership

• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term institutional goals
• Support the effective management of school operations and resources
• Oversee the effective use of the LMS, school management systems, and educational technology
• Coordinate with academic, administrative, technology, admissions, and marketing teams
• Provide regular institutional performance updates to the CEO

Required Experience

• Minimum two years of experience as Head of Primary School, Middle School, or High School; or
• Minimum five years of experience as a Head of Teachers, Academic Coordinator, or School Coordinator

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
• Valid teaching licence or professional teaching credential
• Strong classroom teaching and school leadership experience
• Experience with American, IB, Cambridge, IGCSE, or another international curriculum
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LMS platforms, and educational technology
• Ability to analyse academic data and make evidence-based decisions
• Willingness to be based in the UAE and travel internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in online or blended learning
• Familiarity with NEASC, WASC, or Cognia accreditation
• Experience leading remote teams across different countries and time zones
• Experience in international K-12 education
• Knowledge of digital learning and educational technology
• Additional language skills
• Doctorate in Education or specialised educational leadership certification
