This role will be responsible for supporting:

  • Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle of a card customer
  • Ensuring balanced growth addressing Credit, Operations, Compliance, and Service Delivery risks
  • The design and development of best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team
  • Managing the delivery of regulatory changes so that they are delivered timely with seamless client experience and in a cost-effective manner
Business
  • Support to develop and implement strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with the business targets
  • Support initiatives related to customer engagement & balance build, including end-to-end management of campaigns across channels to grow spending and balances
  • Support the credit card installment plans strategy, including the design and construction of payment plans, implementation of an effective sales strategy, and optimizing revenues
  • Work with the Marketing and Analytics team on customer segmentation to promote the usage of existing customers
  • Help retain profitable customers, working with relevant teams for the implementation of a robust customer retention strategy
  • Review consumer behavior and market trends to identify improvement opportunities for client engagement through tactical campaigns, market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends; stay up to date with regulatory requirements
  • Help manage the financial performance of the credit card portfolio; develop financial forecasts and budgets, monitor actual performance vs. targets, and identify opportunities to mitigate headwinds
  • Regularly assess the performance of the credit card portfolio, analyze usage patterns, evaluate profitability, monitor customer feedback, and identify areas for improvement
  • Work closely with relevant teams to ensure digital platforms are functioning as per the product construct, and optimize the customer journey for a better customer experience
  • Focus on enhancing the customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle; identify pain points and implement initiatives to improve customer engagement & loyalty
  • Engage with stakeholders for effective governance and robust controls around portfolio programs and processes
  • Constantly evolve KPIs and performance dashboards aligned with strategic business objectives to aid senior management decision-making
  • Manage feedback/issues involving credit card business
  • Collaborate across Risk management, Operations, Marketing, Retail, Analytics, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and external partners supporting portfolio programs

  • Support the execution of credit card business strategy, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless customer journey
  • Identify major customer pain points & streamline processes
  • Support digitization of the portfolio lifecycle journey
Execution and Implementation
  • Support delivery of large programs from initiation to benefit realization
  • Execute projects across clients/businesses, identify and mitigate risks, solve issues, develop plans, and ensure timely, budgeted, and quality delivery
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted resource
  • Identify new business opportunities supporting Mastercard solutions

Develop sound business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations. Plan, organize, and lead project teams, and contribute to Mastercard's intellectual capital and solution development. Grow from coaching to enable ownership of project management and mentor junior team members.

  • Experience managing large, complex projects/programs in a multicultural environment
  • Domain knowledge of payments industry and hands-on program management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver from inception to delivery
  • Strong presence and industry insights in client organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and perform cost/benefit/risk analysis
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop teams
Education & Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA preferred. Fluent in local language and English; additional languages desirable. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of project management tools. At least 7 years relevant experience in card product and portfolio management. Regional experience preferred. Analytical skills and willingness to travel required.
