Title and Summary

Associate Managing Consultant, Specialized Product Delivery (Cards Operations Specialist)

Responsibilities:
  1. Support in managing all Operational and Administrative activities within clients card Operations and maximize the profitability of the cards business by ensuring that such activities are carried out with maximum efficiency, security & control.
  2. Support review of card operations activities from card production to delivery to identify gaps and recommend opportunities for improvements.
  3. Support review of card settlement and reconciliation activities to identify gaps and recommend opportunities.
  4. Conduct detailed drill downs of the cards issuing and acquiring GL structure to understand entries and allocations to identify gaps and present/execute remedial action plans.
  5. Review card authorization/approval rates to present remedial actions and improve customer experience.
  6. Review chargeback and dispute resolution processes to identify weaknesses and provide support.
  7. Provide guidance on validation of cards business profit and expense lines to identify leakages and optimize P&L.
  8. Develop and maintain a robust Card Operations for cards business and ensure that operational procedures conform to clients' standards.
  9. Support operational health of Card Operations through constant process improvements.
  10. Continuously review, recommend, and implement improvements/enhancements to operational procedures & workflow.
  11. Help clients establish and monitor operational performance standards, service standards, and service level agreements.
  12. Work closely with Service Quality functions to ensure effective complaint management.
  13. Ensure that all facilities within Card Operations are maintained in good condition.
  14. Provide counseling, mentoring, motivation, guidance, and training to all staff in Card Operations.
  15. Work closely with Sales functions & Branches to ensure operational support for new product launches.
  16. Work closely with Projects & IT to ensure operational support for new system initiatives.
  17. Maximize customer satisfaction through customer-focused operations and policies.
  18. Keep Head of Operations advised of any material operational/process weaknesses.
  19. Support in delivery of large programs for clients from initiation to benefit realization.
  20. Successful execution of projects across different clients/businesses.
  21. Develop strong bonds with clients that endure beyond assignments.
  22. Identify new business opportunities to support clients with Mastercard solutions.

Qualifications/Expectations:
  1. 7 to 9 years of experience in managing Card Business Operations with thorough knowledge of all aspects of Card Operations.
  2. Prior experience in cards operations/cards technology is essential.
  3. Experience as Operations Lead for a large bank is preferred.
  4. Ability to conduct detailed gap analysis of processes, controls, and structures.
  5. Excellent delivery and project management skills.
  6. Chargebacks, settlement, and reconciliation experience is a must.
  7. Strong analytical skills.
  8. Willingness to travel.
