Job summary

Wesco International in Dubai, UAE, seeks an Associate Manager - Operations to steer priorities in a customer-centered warehouse environment with a lean leadership structure. You will supervise warehouse staff, including Drivers and an Administrative Coordinator, and you will collaborate with Sales and other departments to fulfill orders and resolve issues.

You will monitor KPIs, ensure safety and budget compliance, and coordinate with 3PLs, customs brokers, and transport partners.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience managing warehouse staff and customer-focused operations.
• Ability to train, coach and counsel staff; forklift capability a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; willing to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Manages warehouse staff in all functional areas including training, coaching and counseling.
• Oversees a location with potential multiple systems and services; interacts with Sales.
• Partners with cross-functional teams and service providers on feasibility and cost analysis.
• Ensures on-time operational activities and budget adherence; tracks provider performance.
• Ensures Health, Safety and Environment requirements are met and coordinates with stakeholders.

As the Associate Manager - Operations you will manage priorities in a customer-centered warehouse environment that generally has ten or less employees without additional levels of leadership on site and no people leaders as direct reports You will have at least two or more direct reports which can include Operations Associates Drivers and or an Administrative Coordinator You will interact with other internal departments such as Sales in addition to external customer support and interactions You will provide customer service through order fulfilment and problem resolution You will oversee key performance indictors KPIs to maintain and improve service quality

Responsibilities

Manages warehouse staff in all functional areas including training coaching and counselingManagement responsibility of a location that could include multiple warehouse management systems and or multifaceted customer value added servicesPartners with cross functional teams and service providers on pre-sales feasibility cost analysisCompletes operational activities on-time and update internal partners such as Sales and Operations ManagementCoordinates with stakeholders and provides operational support for project deliveriesReviews and improves the efficiency of existing processes and proceduresEnsures operational activities are within budget including management of department costs and expensesTracks and reviews performance of service providers 3PL warehouse Customs brokers Local transporters Forwarders etc Reviews service provider invoices are in accordance with contract and work closely with AP for payment processResponsible for facility and related Health Safety and Environment requirementsEnsures customers delivery requirements and expectations are fully understood and metFor International Positions - possess strong understanding of Custom Laws Clearance procedures and HSN Classification with its regulatory requirementsMay manage employees in a unionized environment
