Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) seeks a Senior International Payroll Lead to develop and manage a cross-border payroll program, ensuring data integrity and governance. This role delivers strategic payroll initiatives, drives policy compliance and leads a high-performance payroll team across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent.
  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), Diploma in Payroll Management (Australian Payroll Institute), Diploma/Certificate in Treasury Management (ACT) would be well regarded

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an effective international payroll program across EGA by implementing approved payroll frameworks, policies and governance structures.
  • Direct the implementation of the international payroll strategy in line with EGA's vision and objectives.
  • Lead and motivate the payroll team, manage workload and performance to balance analysis, risk, and business goals.
  • Prepare and monitor the functional budget; identify cost-reduction or performance improvement opportunities.
  • Direct development and implementation of policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls across international payroll ensuring compliance and quality of service.
  • Guide decision-making within established procedures and enhance regulatory compliance with external requirements.

Job description

Responsible for developing and managing an effective international payroll program across EGA by implementing approved payroll frameworks, reviewing policies, and ensuring adherence to governance structures. Provides subject‑matter expertise to business units to maintain payroll data accuracy and integrity.

Strategy Development & Implementation

Directs the implementation of the international payroll strategy in line with EGA's vision, mission, corporate objectives, and risk appetite.

Leadership

Manages achievement of functional objectives through effective leadership, setting individual objectives, performance management, and team motivation. Oversees workload allocation to balance analysis, risk, and business goals.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

Prepares and recommends the functional budget; monitors financial performance versus budget, identifies unsatisfactory areas, and capitalises on cost‑reduction or performance improvement opportunities.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Directs and oversees the development and implementation of functional policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls across the international payroll function, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while delivering a quality, cost‑effective service.

Authority & DecisionMaking

Guides the application of clearly defined policies and standards, familiar with external regulatory and legislative requirements, and manages decision‑making within established procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent
  • Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), Diploma in Payroll Management (Australian Payroll Institute), Diploma/Certificate in Treasury Management (ACT) would be well regarded
Minimum Experience
  • 8 years of experience in payroll, accounting or finance, including at least 4 years in progressive managerial roles
  • Experience interacting with national/international institutions
