Associate Manager Consulting And Innovation Events Organizer
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day delivery across the following three areas:
- Operational
- Act as the single operational point of contact for Innovation Trips.
- Ensure that operating, customer, and market readiness requirements are met for the Innovation Trip program.
- Opportunity tracking and revenue recognition.
- Cost and revenue reconciliation.
- Manage external agency relationships (e.g., guest A&A booking, venue, and speaker arrangements).
- Develop processes for engaging with and paying speakers.
- Support efforts to ensure business continuity in case of disruptions, including recommending modifications.
- Coordinate with external agencies and suppliers to ensure high-quality program delivery (venues, logistics, payments, etc.).
- Oversee post-delivery tasks such as surveys, content creation, reconciliations, expense reporting, and project documentation.
- Drive team scheduling, maintain program calendars, and manage resource allocations.
- Finance
- Establish and implement financial processes for setting up and executing Innovation Trips.
- Drive proposal assessments for commercial viability and make approval decisions.
- Manage budgets to achieve expected margins and share best practices.
- Track revenue and manage perceptions of IT versus Digital Innovation revenue.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and financial strategy development.
- Oversee sales activities from opportunity identification through project completion, ensuring milestones are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Oversight And Value
- Provide project oversight and value tracking.
- Include Delivery Leads early in exploratory conversations about Innovation Trips.
- Partner with other teams, such as Engines, to leverage expertise and align with organizational goals.
- Establish success metrics and client satisfaction measures.
- Define KPIs and create feedback loops to enhance positive experiences.
- Develop methods to measure the long-term value of Innovation Trips.
- Support product development and process improvements.
- Implement standards to maintain a sustainable and profitable global operating environment.
- Collaborate on strategic roadmaps for product expansion.
- Assist the team with program management and serve as a backup resource for delivery.
Your Experience
- Agile thinker capable of multitasking across operational and administrative duties.
- Effective prioritization skills, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision.
- Relevant experience (1-2 years) in event management, project management, or administration.
- Solutions-oriented with a focus on operational process enhancement.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Keen interest in innovation and technology.
- Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Motivated learner with high self-drive.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications.
- Curious and adaptable to change.
