Job summary

ICON in Dubai is seeking an Associate Landscape Architect to join our growing team, delivering diverse landscape, public realm, hospitality and masterplanning projects across the UAE and wider region. You will lead design directions, manage programmes, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and drive digital delivery through BIM, Vantagepoint and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • ICON is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Landscape Architect to join our growing Landscape Architecture team in Dubai.
  • This is an opportunity for an experienced landscape architect to contribute to a diverse portfolio of landscape, public realm, mixed-use, hospitality, and destination projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region.
  • Working closely with Senior Associates and Associate Directors, you will play a key role in project delivery, team leadership, client engagement, and the development of high-quality design solutions.
  • You will also contribute to the evolution of our digital delivery capabilities through the adoption of BIM, AI-enabled workflows, and platforms such as Vantagepoint.
The Role
  • As an Associate, you will support the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, providing project management, design direction, coordination, technical leadership, and team mentoring across a range of project types and scales.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of design quality, technical excellence, programme performance, and client satisfaction throughout all stages of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of landscape architecture and public realm projects from concept design through to construction support.
  • Maintain design quality and technical excellence across all project stages.
  • Contribute innovative, sustainable, and practical design solutions that respond to project and client objectives.
  • Manage project programmes, deliverables, resources, and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Support project budgeting, reporting, programme management, and resource planning.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and authorities.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings, design reviews, workshops, and presentations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across landscape architecture, engineering, planning, BIM, and project management disciplines.
  • Mentor and support Landscape Architects, Graduate Landscape Architects, and BIM professionals.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Promote the use of digital technologies, BIM workflows, AI-enabled tools, and Vantagepoint systems to improve project delivery and efficiency.
About You

You are an experienced Landscape Architect with strong project delivery skills and a passion for creating successful landscapes and public realm environments. You are organised, collaborative, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.

Work Experience Requirements

You will bring:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
  • Experience delivering landscape architecture, public realm, mixed-use, hospitality, residential, infrastructure, and masterplanning projects.
  • Strong design, technical, and project management capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and project deliverables.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good understanding of project planning, resource management, and commercial performance.
  • Knowledge of UAE and GCC planning processes, authority requirements, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
Technical Skills
Key Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation.
  • Experience with Rhino (Grasshopper), SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape and/or D5 Render.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience working within BIM-enabled project environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of digital design and project delivery workflows.
Desirable
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar project management platforms.
  • Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, Land F/X, or equivalent specialist software.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support design development, visualisation, reporting, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of emerging digital technologies, automation, and data-driven design processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Professional Chartership or Accreditation (CMLI, ASLA, AILA, LI, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • UAE and/or KSA project experience is preferred.
