About the Role

The Associate - Governance, Risk, and Business Continuity Management will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Governance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks across Aldar Hospitality’s self-operated and third-party managed assets. The role ensures operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and risk awareness through effective coordination, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Policy Management

  • Support the development, review, and update of corporate policies, procedures, charters, and frameworks.
  • Maintain a central repository of policies and procedures and ensure alignment with Aldar Group governance standards.
  • Track policy review cycles and coordinate input from departments and operational business units (BU).

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

  • Assist in maintaining the corporate risk register and BU-level risk registers.
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops and document risk assessments.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and follow up on risk mitigation actions with stakeholders.
  • Generate periodic risk reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and Aldar Group.

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

  • Coordinate BCM activities across business units and support the implementation of the approved BCM framework.
  • Assist in business impact analysis (BIA), risk assessments, and continuity strategy documentation.
  • Track BCM drills, testing schedules, and outcomes; follow up on improvement actions.
  • Maintain updated BCM plans and templates for self-operated and third-party managed assets.

Incident Reporting & Crisis Support

  • Act as a liaison between business units and the ICMT during incidents.
  • Log incident data and assist in post-incident analysis and after-action reports.
  • Maintain incident communication templates and escalation registers.

Coordination & Support

  • Schedule and document meetings for governance, risk, and BCM initiatives.
  • Coordinate with other functions (e.g., HR, IT, Asset Management) to ensure timely updates of relevant risk and continuity plans.
  • Support training, awareness, and capacity-building initiatives for staff and operators.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Governance, Accounting/Finance, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a governance, internal audit, risk, or BCM-related role, ideally in a hospitality setting
  • CRMA, CIA, ISO 31000, ISO 22301, CBCI, CISA, CGEIT, or equivalent is preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Solid understanding of governance, risk, and BCM principles
  • Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
