A leading financial services firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to lead the financial reporting processes for the group. The successful candidate will oversee consolidated statements, coordinate with finance teams, manage the audit process, and drive financial reporting automation. Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual group financial reporting processes in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal timelines.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for statutory filings and internal management reporting.
  • Coordinate with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely financial submissions, while proactively resolving reporting issues.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the holding company’s finance team to fulfill group-level reporting obligations.
  • Serve as a key contact for senior management and business heads, supporting ad hoc financial analyses, operational updates, and regulatory matters.
  • Manage the external audit process, ensuring timely completion of interim reviews and annual audits with minimal disruption.
  • Drive automation of financial reporting and lead the implementation of group-wide financial systems and tools.
  • Oversee allocation of expenses across projects and business units to ensure precise and transparent project-level reporting.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure full compliance with tax regulations across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members to foster a high-performing, collaborative finance function.
  • Support the preparation of group budgets, cash flow projections, and P&L forecasts; analyze variances and provide insights to management.
  • Track actuals spend against approved budgets, ensuring appropriate cost controls and identifying areas of overspend or underspend.
  • Build and lead a business intelligence (BI) capability to develop key financial and operational reports and generate actionable insights for decision-making.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or ACCA.
  • 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in financial reporting, management reporting, planning and analysis.
  • Preferred experience with Big 4 Auditing firm.
