About this role
Major Function
  • Involvement in finance raising activities for upstream oil and gas projects and corporate / asset acquisitions.
  • Analysis and assessment of company-related investments.
  • Research, analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Assisting in preparing detailed presentations, documents, and reports for senior management.
Essential Functions
  • Participation in finance raising and investment activities.
  • Candidate should have undergone investment banking analyst training or equivalent, with a solid grounding in accounting, corporate finance, valuation, and securities markets.
  • Application of knowledge in project and corporate finance to company activities.
  • Work closely with legal and upstream teams within the company.
  • Liaise with external parties such as banks, lawyers, and consultants.
  • Conduct high-quality research into markets and companies.
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and strategic analysis for decision-making.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel and other software.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government regulations affecting financial strategies.
Working Relationships
  • Maintain excellent relationships with staff and external advisory firms.
  • Promote professional presence in the UAE.
Continuous Improvement
  • Attend industry conferences and seminars related to Energy, Finance, and Legal subjects to enhance industry knowledge.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree with honors (minimum 2:1) in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics from a top-tier university.
  • Professional training in accounting, valuation, and modelling (investment bank training or equivalent).
  • CFA, MBA, or postgraduate degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in investment banking, consulting, or private equity, with experience in the oil and gas sector.
