About this role
Major Function
  • Involvement in finance raising activities for upstream oil and gas projects and corporate / asset acquisitions.
  • Analyzing and assessing company-related investments.
  • Research, analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Assisting in preparing detailed presentations, documents, and reports for senior management.
Essential Functions
  • Participation in finance raising and investment activities.
  • Candidate should have undergone investment banking analyst training or equivalent, with a solid grounding in accounting, corporate finance, valuation, and knowledge of securities and financial markets.
  • Apply knowledge and experience in project and corporate finance to company activities and projects.
  • Collaborate with legal and upstream teams within the company.
  • Liaise with external parties such as banks, lawyers, and consultants.
  • Conduct high-quality research into markets and companies.
  • Prepare reports, research papers, strategic analyses, and presentations to assist decision-making by senior management and external parties.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel and other software to support ongoing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the company's financial strategies.
Working Relationships

Maintain excellent relationships with staff, external advisory firms, and promote professional presence within the UAE.

Continuous Improvement of Position

Engage in research and industry studies, attend relevant conferences and seminars within the energy sector, finance, legal, and related fields.

About you
Minimum Educational and Technical Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with honours (minimum 2:1) in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics from a top-tier university.
  • Professional training in accounting, valuation, and modelling (investment banking scheme or equivalent).
  • Desirable: CFA, MBA, or postgraduate degree from a top-tier university.
Minimum Professional Experience
  • At least 4 years in investment banking, consulting, or private equity, with experience in the oil and gas sector.
