Job Description
  • Ensure professional sales calls using Selling principles and SMART Selling philosophies.
  • Carefully plan sales calls with defined objectives.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features, and services.
  • Conduct extensive competitor research and keep excellent product knowledge of the hotel.
  • Systematically and efficiently call on allocated accounts within the location; report findings and opportunities to the Director of Sales.
  • Pre-qualify and target prospects, utilizing the hotel database; develop effective sales strategies to increase market share.
  • Conduct routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities; follow up on sales leads to identify prospects.
  • Meet and greet VIP guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Plan and execute sales trips to current and potential clients to explore new business opportunities.
  • Entertain and conduct hotel inspections for relevant representatives/delegates as required.
  • Establish strong contacts for information on upcoming functions/events.
  • Review and seek productivity improvements through streamlining work processes.
  • Implement all sales action plans outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Ensure all Heartists maintain updated knowledge of hotel products, current promotions, policies, and internal communications.
  • Assist in recruitment and selection of Sales Heartists, adhering to hotel guidelines and using a competency-based approach.
  • Maximize Heartists' effectiveness through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Support annual Performance Development Discussions and professional growth of Heartists.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation among Heartists, recognizing contributions to operational success.
