Job Description

The Sales Executive is responsible for the following key duties:

  1. Ensuring professional sales calls using selling principles and SMART selling philosophies.
  2. Carefully planning sales calls with defined objectives.
  3. Maintaining detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features, and services.
  4. Conducting extensive competitor research and maintaining excellent product knowledge of the hotel.
  5. Calling on allocated accounts systematically and efficiently, reporting findings and opportunities to the Director of Sales.
  6. Pre-qualifying and targeting prospects using the hotel database, and developing effective sales strategies to increase market share.
  7. Conducting routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities and following up on sales leads.
  8. Meeting and greeting VIP guests upon arrival and departure.
  9. Planning and executing sales trips to current and potential clients to explore new business opportunities.
  10. Hosting hotel inspections for relevant representatives and delegates.
  11. Establishing contacts to gather information about upcoming functions and events.
  12. Seeking productivity improvements through process streamlining and work optimization.
  13. Implementing sales action plans outlined in the marketing plan.
  14. Ensuring all Heartists maintain updated hotel product knowledge, current promotions, policy changes, and internal communications.
  15. Assisting in the recruitment and selection of sales Heartists, adhering to hotel guidelines and using a competency-based approach.
  16. Developing Heartists' skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  17. Supporting annual performance reviews and professional development of Heartists.
  18. Encouraging creativity and innovation among Heartists, recognizing contributions to the operation's success.
