Job Description
The Sales Executive is responsible for the following key duties:
- Ensuring professional sales calls using selling principles and SMART selling philosophies.
- Carefully planning sales calls with defined objectives.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, features, and services.
- Conducting extensive competitor research and maintaining excellent product knowledge of the hotel.
- Calling on allocated accounts systematically and efficiently, reporting findings and opportunities to the Director of Sales.
- Pre-qualifying and targeting prospects using the hotel database, and developing effective sales strategies to increase market share.
- Conducting routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities and following up on sales leads.
- Meeting and greeting VIP guests upon arrival and departure.
- Planning and executing sales trips to current and potential clients to explore new business opportunities.
- Hosting hotel inspections for relevant representatives and delegates.
- Establishing contacts to gather information about upcoming functions and events.
- Seeking productivity improvements through process streamlining and work optimization.
- Implementing sales action plans outlined in the marketing plan.
- Ensuring all Heartists maintain updated hotel product knowledge, current promotions, policy changes, and internal communications.
- Assisting in the recruitment and selection of sales Heartists, adhering to hotel guidelines and using a competency-based approach.
- Developing Heartists' skills through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Supporting annual performance reviews and professional development of Heartists.
- Encouraging creativity and innovation among Heartists, recognizing contributions to the operation's success.
