Job summary

Axle Informatics seeks a senior technical leader to direct data platforms, AI/ML systems, and scientific computing in a governed, research-focused environment with Dubai-based operations. You will guide architectures, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and support federal growth initiatives in health and biomedical data.

You will shape production-grade data pipelines, MLOps, and governance, collaborating with software, data, and science teams in a dynamic, risk-aware setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software, data, or ML engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership building technical teams.
• Proven design and operation of production-grade AI/ML or data systems.
• Strong judgment across modern data architectures and MLOps.
• Experience building large, complex data pipelines.
• Experience delivering systems in research-heavy or regulated settings.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or quantitative discipline
• Experience leading organizations of 20+ engineers or scientists
• Experience with biomedical data standards like OMOP or FHIR
• Experience with high-performance computing and large-scale scientific workflows
• Experience deploying Generative AI capabilities with appropriate safeguards
• Experience working with NIH or other federal health organizations
