Job summary

Expel is seeking an experienced data scientist to build and ship ML and GenAI systems, including anomaly detection models and LLM-powered analyst tools, in Dubai. You will communicate technical work clearly to stakeholders and collaborate with operations, engineering and service delivery for deployment.

Mentor colleagues, explore prompt engineering and knowledge retrieval with SMEs, stay current on advances, and contribute to cybersecurity initiatives that surface threats and empower analysts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional data science experience building and shipping models in production.
• Proficiency in traditional ML (classification, regression, anomaly detection, clustering, time series).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and vector stores.
• Experience with agentic systems and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
