Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director (Cost Management) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will own end-to-end cost management, lead large teams, and drive value creation for major programmes while interfacing with clients across all project phases.

The role requires proven cost/Commercial management experience, MRICS preferred with 10+ years PQE, and strong procurement, reporting, and communication skills in infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Proven cost/commercial management experience in consultancy or client-side environments.
• MRICS qualification preferred with 10+ years PQE.
• Extensive experience on infrastructure major programmes/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate teams.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management across major programmes and projects, including feasibility, cost planning and procurement strategy.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses and value management to optimise outcomes.
• Manage procurement processes from pre-qualification to contract award with diligence.
• Act as primary client interface, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout all phases.
• Oversee post-contract cost administration, variance management, and valuations.
• Prepare and present monthly cost reports to clients with rigorous analysis.
• Drive value engineering and life cycle costing initiatives.
• Negotiate and finalise project accounts, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Mentor cost management teams and pursue new business opportunities.
