Job summary

Turner & Townsend's Real Estate team in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Cost Manager to lead end-to-end cost management, from pre-contract through handover, for large-scale developments. You will provide exceptional client service, present findings, and work with a professional team to deliver value across multiple sectors.

Applicants should have 7+ years in cost consultancy, MRICS, and UAE experience, with strong knowledge of procurement methods and cost reporting. This role is on-site in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• MRICS qualification is required/strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles.
• Prior UAE experience is essential.
• Prior consultancy exposure is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, procurement routes, value management/engineering.
• CostX knowledge is preferred; BIM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and cost planning to produce and present the final cost plan.
• Production of full Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
• Tendering and procuring; manage pre-qualification, tender lists, and contracts.
• Handle post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Take responsibility for cost checks and valuations on larger projects.
• Produce pre-contract, post-contract and ad-hoc client reports.
• Negotiate with contractors and agree final accounts.
• Interface with client, contractors and other consultants at all stages.
• Where appropriate, lead a cost management team to deliver results.
