Job summary

Sccsinternational in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Director to own end-to-end cost management delivery on major programmes and to act as the principal client interface. The role covers feasibility, cost planning, procurement strategy before contract, and post-contract administration including variance management, change control, and monthly cost reporting to the client.

Qualifications

Procurement responsibility is stated in full, from pre-qualification and enquiry analysis through vendor selection to contract preparation, alongside value engineering and life cycle costing. The employer asks for MRICS with a minimum of ten years post-qualification experience and cost or commercial management gained on the consultancy or the client side.

Two requirements mark this out from a pure measurement role: a demonstrable understanding of construction contracts with the ability to give contractual advice to clients when required, and the ability to drive the commercial agenda and chair commercial meetings. Extensive experience on major programmes, team leadership, and a record of service delivery to multiple clients are stated.
