Job Description

The Market Development division is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of ADGM's business development activities. It comprises three strategic clusters and multiple sub-clusters. The Associate Director leads a specific cluster or key sub-cluster.

The Associate Director's role involves attracting businesses to ADGM within their cluster and building the necessary functional and subject matter expertise and team to support successful market development initiatives.

Strategic Responsibilities

  1. Lead the strategy and growth plan of the cluster: Ensure alignment with the overall Market Development strategy to meet divisional objectives.
  2. Financial management: Oversee the development and implementation of the annual budget for the cluster.
  3. Committee participation and coordination: Drive and participate in relevant committees, ensuring coordination with Strategy, MarComms, ADGM authorities, and corporate services for streamlined operations.

Target Clients, Clusters, and Regions Management

  1. Identify and map anchor and strategic clients for the cluster.
  2. Build relationships with strategic market partners such as chambers and industry bodies.
  3. Set and achieve growth targets for new client acquisition and existing client development.
  4. Develop processes for efficient client acquisition, relationship management, and retention.
  5. Maintain records and report on cluster pursuits, activities, and progress.
  6. Monitor domestic and international markets for intelligence on current and future needs.
  7. Manage a network of channel partners and influencers to develop client accounts.

Value Proposition Management and Internal Process Improvements

  1. Develop and execute ADGM's member and partner ecosystem strategies around key market initiatives.
  2. Enhance ADGM’s offerings by developing innovative solutions and improving sectorial value propositions.
  3. Ensure alignment of development initiatives with ADGM and authority-specific regulations.
  4. Stay informed about competitors’ solutions and services.
  5. Identify areas for process and system improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.

Information Security Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to ADGM’s Information Security policies and best practices.
  2. Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ADGM information at all times.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 12-14 years of relevant experience.
