Role Responsibilities
  1. Review assessment commentary and approve master plan design deliverables across all stages (Vision, PCMP, Framework, CMP, DMP).
  2. Liaise with Authorities to ensure expeditious approvals.
  3. Develop RFPs and brief design strategies for master plan projects.
  4. Create land use datasets considering various land use types, traffic networks, open spaces, and current development trends.
  5. Understand land use and product potential, including revenue-generating aspects.
  6. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure multidisciplinary integration (feasibility, architecture, infrastructure).
  7. Manage in-house design teams and deliver master plan feasibility projects aligned with management expectations.
  8. Review master plan deliverables, ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Municipality and Transportation (DMT) requirements.
  9. Engage with relevant departments for procurement, marketing, and sales; coordinate internal test fits.
  10. Collaborate with consultants to analyze land use projects, recommend sector splits, and review submissions for alignment with project briefs.
  11. Present master plans to senior management and leadership as needed.
Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Master Planning, or Urban Design.
  • Master's degree in Urban Design (preferred).
  • Master's degree in Landscape Architecture (optional).
Preferred Skills and Competencies
  • 15-18 years' experience in master planning or real estate master planning across various asset classes.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including business functions.
  • Expertise in planning, architecture, infrastructure, engineering, transportation, project management, procurement, and commercial aspects.
  • Deep knowledge of master planning from visioning to detailed stages.
  • Understanding land use complexities, revenue potentials, and latest trends in urban design.
  • Proficiency in design tools (hand sketch, digital sketch, CAD, Adobe Suite).
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience with landscape architecture and public realm concepts.
