The AVP, Infrastructure Technology will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing Interpolitan Money's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and efficiency of the company's technology stack. This role will oversee IT operations, infrastructure strategy, cloud adoption, vendor management, asset management, and business continuity planning. The role is critical in supporting the company's alternative banking and international payments services by ensuring a robust, secure, and compliant IT infrastructure.

IT Infrastructure Strategy & Management

  • Design and implement a scalable and resilient IT infrastructure aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead IT modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, and digitization of core infrastructure.
  • Develop a long-term infrastructure roadmap, ensuring the adoption of best-in-class solutions for network, storage, compute, and cloud services.

Asset Management & Lifecycle Optimisation
  • Establish and maintain an IT Asset Management (ITAM) framework for tracking hardware, software, cloud resources, and licenses.
  • Ensure efficient asset utilization, procurement planning, and cost optimization to maximize IT investments.
  • Implement automated asset discovery, tracking, and compliance tools to monitor asset usage and depreciation.
  • Manage software licensing agreements and renewals to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular asset audits and reconciliation to eliminate redundancies and ensure optimal performance and security.

Cloud & Data Center Operations
  • Oversee hybrid cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers) and ensure optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage on-premise and cloud data center operations, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Optimize cloud utilization, cost control, and cloud security best practices in line with industry standards.

Network & Security Management
  • Ensure highly available and secure network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Work closely with the Information Security team to enforce cybersecurity protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
  • Implement Zero Trust Security principles and best practices for identity and access management (IAM).

IT Operations & Service Management
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including IT service desk, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement ITIL-based service management practices, ensuring efficient incident, problem, and change management.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Evaluate and manage third-party vendors, ensuring cost-effective and high-performance IT solutions.
  • Negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors and ensure adherence to agreed standards.
  • Collaborate with internal business units to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.

Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, and FCA guidelines.
  • Develop and test Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.
  • Regularly conduct infrastructure audits, risk assessments, and security reviews.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure & Operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data center management.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto), storage, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, CI/CD, IT asset management (ITAM), and automation tools.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
