Job summary

ALDAR seeks an experienced FP&A professional in Abu Dhabi to lead financial forecasting, planning and analysis for corporate finance and real estate ventures. You will prepare the 5-year business plan, monitor forecasts, and deliver management-ready presentations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in finance/ management/ economics and a preferred professional qualification (CFA, MBA, CMA, CPA). 6+ years in corporate finance with IFRS real estate experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience in corporate finance/financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, update and management of the 5-year Business Plan & financial projections.
• Monitor the Business Plan and Forecast for deviations, update quarterly changes, and elevate to Management as necessary.
• Support Management in planning capital allocation by building financial models.
• Prepare Management reports and presentations (funding requirements, valuations, capital allocation and surplus capital, scenario/sensitivity analysis).
• Assist in preparing Monthly Business Update reports in coordination with corporate functions.
• Develop quarterly KPI reports for projects and divisions with Finance Reporting and Development teams.
• Provide financial analysis for new proposals focusing on valuation and returns.

JOB PURPOSE

• Executing effective financial forecasting and planning, including monitoring and tracking divisional and projects' financial performance
• Quarterly performance and KPIs review
• Financial analysis for new business proposals
• Preparation of FP&A presentations and reports for the Management

This role is for a UAE National

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Planning & Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation, update and overall management of the 5-year Business Plan & financial projections
• Monitor the Business Plan and Forecast for deviations, keep the plan updated for quarterly changes, and elevate changes to the Management as necessary
• Support the Management in planning capital allocation by building financial models, to ensure that adequate funds are available and investments appropriately valued
• Prepare Management reports and presentations (funding requirements, valuations, capital allocation and surplus capital, scenario/sensitivity analysis, dividend analysis, and other financial analysis)

Monthly Business Update

• Assist in the preparation and management of the Monthly Business Update report, in coordination with all the relevant corporate functions, teams and divisions
• Presentation of the results to the Management

Quarterly Performance and KPI Review

• Preparation and development of the quarterly performance reports and KPIs for various projects and divisions, in coordination with the Financial Reporting and Development teams

New Developments/Projects/JVs/Ventures Financial analysis

• Provide financial analysis in line with internal policies for new business proposals, focusing on valuation, funding requirements and returns

Financial Policies

• Assist in updating, monitoring and reviewing internal financial policies

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE

Min of 6+ years of related experience in corporate finance/financial analysis

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

• Advanced corporate finance and investment analysis experience
• Good understanding of IFRS accounting for a real estate developer preferrable

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• Excellent Excel modeling and PowerPoint drafting skills
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• High level of professional and personal ethical standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), adept at building strong relationships and teamwork
• Strong time management capabilities

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in finance, management or economics from a reputable university
• Professional financial qualification is preferred e.g., CFA, MBA, CIMA, CMA, CPA, etc.
