Job summary

NMDC in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Field Survey Assistant to support data collection, measurements, and documentation of field notes. You will assist the project survey team during mobilization, calibrations, and on-site execution, reporting activities that may affect survey operations to the Chief/Project Surveyor.

The role emphasizes teamwork, on-site safety, and adherence to HSE policies. You will coordinate with other surveyors, assist with equipment installation and maintenance,

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.

Job description

• Assist in surveying tasks including data collection, measurements, and documenting field notes


• Assist the project survey team where possible (mobilization, calibrations, execution)


• Report all activities that will possibly effect survey operations, to the Chief / Project Surveyor / Surveyor


• Execute on-field study and document dimensions


• Coordinate with other surveyors on-ground survey tasks


• Assist the surveying division with surveying operations


• Provide support during the Installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware and software


• Prepare and maintain survey equipment by cleaning, calibrating, and conducting routine maintenance


• Carry out on-site safety inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
