A leading company in the hospitality sector, Accor Group, is seeking an Assistant Spa Manager to oversee gym and spa operations. The role involves managing member satisfaction, coordinating training, and driving membership sales to enhance overall revenue. Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years in fitness or spa management with strong leadership and customer service skills.
The Recreation Manager will be responsible for leading the gym and spa teams, ensuring seamless daily operations, managing member satisfaction, coordinating training, and enhancing revenue through memberships and wellness programs.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Organization
* Plan gym classes, fitness schedules, and recreational programs aligned with member needs
* Coordinate purchasing and inventory management with finance and supply chain teams
* Prepare and manage departmental budget and forecasts, monitoring cost control and payroll
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and reach sales targets
Operational Oversight
* Lead and train the recreation team to deliver consistent and professional service
* Implement and maintain service quality standards, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance
* Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health & safety standards, and emergency procedures
* Deliver personal training sessions and ensure fitness staff provide guidance and support to guests
* Review guest feedback and make service improvements accordingly
* Host daily team briefings and monthly meetings to foster motivation and communication
Sales & Membership Growth
* Oversee gym membership sales, fee collection, renewals, and database updates
* Conduct guided tours for potential members and prepare membership materials
* Identify upselling opportunities and cross-promote services such as spa, dining, and events
Administration
* Maintain updated training records and schedules
* Work closely with HR to oversee recruitment, staff evaluations, and development
* Ensure financial accuracy in reporting and manage administrative tasks related to attendance and training compliance
Job Requirements
* Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a fitness or spa management role in hospitality
* CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
* Strong communication, team leadership, and organizational skills
* Excellent customer service approach and guest-centric mindset
* Working knowledge of membership management systems and wellness program design
