Job Description

The Role

  • Oversee the Recreation operations and facilities of the Hotel.
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking beyond standard expectations.
  • Provide sincere, warm, and enthusiastic service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Get to know guests personally and commit to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate purchasing for Spa & gym with the finance team according to hotel procedures.
  • Plan gym activities and classes; communicate with members and guests.
  • Conduct departmental interviews with HR and prepare job descriptions.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and payroll in line with budgets.
  • Perform competitor analysis and make strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to achieve membership sales targets.
Operational Duties
  • Train and develop the recreation team following departmental standards.
  • Improve recreation operations for efficiency and energy savings.
  • Lead and support employees to meet financial and service goals.
  • Motivate staff, conduct briefings, and ensure safety policies are followed.
  • Manage performance appraisals, coaching, and feedback sessions.
  • Ensure team awareness of revenue and membership targets.
  • Maintain high grooming standards and guest communication.
  • Review guest feedback and implement satisfaction improvements.
  • Participate in guest events and coordinate with Housekeeping for cleanliness.
  • Provide personal training and assist guests as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and ensure correct billing from guests.
Administration
  • Work with Finance to produce monthly reports.
  • Maintain member records and process payments accurately.
  • Prepare gym membership cards and conduct member orientations.
  • Review employee schedules and leave plans for optimal resource allocation.
  • Oversee training plans and keep training records updated.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Spa Manager.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
