OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:

  • Manage all day-to-day operations and understand employee roles sufficiently to perform duties in their absence.
  • Coordinate activities of kitchen staff engaged in food preparation.

  • Assist the Executive Chef with pastry menu development.
  • Operate and maintain department equipment, reporting malfunctions.
  • Prepare and cook various foods, including for special events or guests.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked foods to meet standards.
  • Create decorative food displays and determine presentation styles.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Manage daily operations to uphold quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Set a positive example in guest relations.
  • Handle guest problems and feedback effectively.
  • Support culinary goals related to pastry products, including performance, budget, and team objectives.
  • Assist in prioritizing and organizing daily pastry operations.
  • Manage food and beverage portioning and waste controls.
  • Purchase supplies and manage inventories within budget.
  • Perform additional responsibilities such as providing information, analyzing data, and participating in meetings.
