Job summary

The First Group Hospitality is seeking an experienced Assistant Security Manager to support the Security Manager in safeguarding guests, staff and property at Ciel Dubai Marina.

With a minimum of 3 years in hospitality security and at least 1 year in supervision, you will supervise the security team, oversee CCTV and access control, and ensure procedures meet safety standards while maintaining calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in hospitality security.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Diploma or degree in Security Management preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and fire safety protocols.
• Physically fit and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Security Manager in managing daily operations of the Security Department.
• Supervise security team to maintain alertness and professionalism.
• Ensure security systems, equipment and procedures work properly and are maintained.
• Monitor CCTV, access controls, fire safety systems and patrols.
• Inspect hotel premises to identify security risks and report findings.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies with proper documentation.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Assist in training new security staff on safety protocols and drills.
• Maintain incident logs and reports in line with policies.
• Enforce hotel policies, including access control and guest safety standards.
• Investigate theft, disturbances or unusual activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in overseeing all aspects of safety and security within the hotel premises. This role ensures that guests, team members, and hotel property are protected through effective security procedures, team supervision, and emergency preparedness.

• Assist the Security Manager in managing the daily operations of the Security Department.
• Supervise and guide the security team to maintain high levels of alertness and professionalism.
• Ensure all security systems, equipment, and procedures are functioning effectively and are regularly maintained.
• Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), access controls, fire safety systems, and patrol activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to identify potential security risks and report findings.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to any incidents, emergencies, or complaints, and follow up with proper documentation.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Assist in training new and existing security team members on safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain proper incident logs, reports, and records in line with hotel policies.
• Support the enforcement of hotel policies, including access control, parking regulations, and guest safety standards.
• Conduct investigations related to theft, disturbances, or any unusual activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
• Minimum 3 years of security experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Diploma or degree in Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency procedures, and fire safety protocols.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Physically fit with the ability to work on shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety is an advantage.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
