The Sales Manager Groups - European Market is responsible to act as a sales specialist and be responsible to ensure the related revenue is maximised in the most profitable way in line with the agreed targets.
Group Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement strategies to drive group sales, focusing on key market segments like corporate clients, associations, or special events.
Identify and analyze market trends to create effective sales plans that align with business goals.
Develop group sales targets and KPIs, and work towards achieving or exceeding them.
Lead Generation and Networking:
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for group sales by targeting corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and other potential group clients.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to generate leads and build relationships.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to secure repeat business.
Client Relationship Management:
Work closely with clients to understand their specific group needs, whether it’s for a meeting, conference, wedding, or other events.
Provide customized proposals, pricing, and packages tailored to the group’s requirements.
Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate terms and conditions of group bookings, including pricing, special requirements, and service levels.
Prepare and finalize contracts for group bookings, ensuring all details are correct and legally binding.
Ensure that terms of contracts are followed and manage any changes or modifications in booking details.
Coordination with Other Departments:
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., event planners, catering, operations, and marketing) to ensure that group events are executed according to plan and client expectations.
Ensure that all aspects of the group booking, including accommodations, meeting space, dining, and special services, are coordinated and delivered on time.
Act as the primary point of contact between clients and the company’s internal teams throughout the event lifecycle.
Sales and Performance Reporting:
Track sales performance for group bookings and regularly report on progress towards sales targets and KPIs.
Use CRM tools to manage client information, follow up on leads, and analyze sales data.
Prepare reports on group sales trends, forecasts, and competitor activities for senior management.
