Athlocity is looking for a proactive and commercially focused Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) to support revenue growth, enhance market presence, and contribute to business development initiatives across the GCC. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong understanding of B2B sales, account management, and strategic planning within a dynamic, consumer-facing environment.
The ASM will play a key role in executing sales and marketing plans, supporting seasonal planning cycles, and identifying new account opportunities. The ideal candidate is a motivated, analytical thinker who can collaborate cross-functionally and deliver results in a performance-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Business Development
- Execute strategic business plans and support the growth of key retail accounts in alignment with Athlocity's brand objectives.
- Achieve monthly sales and invoicing targets while contributing to accurate forecasting and demand planning.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities across B2B channels, product categories, and regional markets.
- Support lead generation activities and prospecting efforts to open new accounts and expand current partnerships.
Account Engagement & Performance Management
- Assist in managing key retail and channel partner relationships, ensuring consistent delivery of product strategy and sales performance.
- Deliver compelling seasonal range presentations during pre-booking cycles to support assortment planning and sales conversion.
- Participate in account meetings to review performance, share market insights, and identify strategic growth areas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Align account-level strategies with promotional calendars, inventory planning, and consumer insights.
- Assist in translating retail operations feedback and data into actionable strategies for revenue and customer experience improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
Experience:
- 3 -5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development in retail, retail fashion , retail apparel or sporting goods (industry open)
- Prior experience in retail, sporting goods, e-commerce, or B2B sectors preferred
- Proven track record of supporting strategic account plans and driving commercial impact
- Experience with pre-booking cycles, sell-in presentations, and seasonal product planning
Skills:
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Knowledge of P&L drivers and business planning
- Familiarity with sell-in/sell-through dynamics and retail partner engagement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Office Suite
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong collaboration skills and cross-functional coordination experience
- Ability to interpret consumer behavior and turn insights into action
