Job Description

This role falls under our Five Guys umbrella. As our Five Guys team continues to grow, we are in search of an Assistant Restaurant Manager. In this role, you work closely with the Outlet Manager, Supervisors, and Crew Members to ensure that the store operates at the highest possible level. You will direct the daily operations of the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager, ensuring compliance with company policies, local municipality regulations, and brand standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead Crew Members and oversee all daily restaurant operations in the absence of the Outlet Manager, including supervising employee training, opening and closing the store, safeguarding cash and takings, ensuring food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks, and shift changes.
  2. Motivate and coach Crew Members and Supervisors, providing regular feedback.
  3. Assist the Outlet Manager with daily operations such as scheduling, ordering, cleaning, and team development.
  4. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as local food safety regulations.
  5. Support employees in completing their tasks effectively.
  6. Maintain fast, accurate service, ensure an excellent customer experience, and uphold brand standards for all products.
  7. Perform all Crew Member and Supervisor tasks proficiently.
  8. Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

College-level education or a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
