Assistant Resident Engineer - Electrical

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer - Electrical for our expanding portfolio of projects. This role primarily supports the design functions related to refurbishment and renovation of electrical equipment and systems. The successful candidate will apply electrical engineering techniques, review drawings, and provide technical input to ensure compliance with electrical standards and procurement specifications. Collaboration with electrical CAD designers will be essential for reviewing drawings and specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Prepare detailed requisitions for electrical equipment and review supplier drawings and technical bid analyses.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting system malfunctions and review preventative maintenance plans.
• Ensure building modifications comply with electrical codes and original design intent, supporting cost estimates for electrical scopes of work.

What Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in electrical facility design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
• Strong background in cost estimation, scope development, subcontractor specifications, and equipment.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with Abu Dhabi Authority requirements is preferable.
