Job summary

Stantec is hiring an Assistant Resident Engineer for a Pressure & Sewerage Network project in Dubai. The role requires strong knowledge of Dubai infrastructure, a relevant degree, and 10–12 years of infrastructure experience.

You will oversee site works, coordinate with service authorities, and ensure adherence to the construction program. The candidate should be proficient in Primavera P3, MS Word, and MS Excel, with excellent English communication, time management, and supervisory abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have full and complete knowledge of the existing infrastructure in Dubai.
• Degree from a recognized university, with 10–12 years of infrastructure experience.
• Ability to take on spot decisions and deal with service authorities.
• Experience in managing site works for construction, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations, and design of infrastructure works.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and manage consultants' staff to ensure actual works align with the construction program using QA, quantity surveying and Primavera P3.
• Prepare instructions, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
• Demonstrate capacity to make decisions and liaise with DM and other infrastructure authorities.
• Demonstrate strong communication, time management and supervisory skills.

Stantec is looking to hire Assistant Resident Engineers for Pressure & Sewerage Network project in Dubai.

Qualifications:

The Assistant Resident Engineer must have full and complete knowledge of the existing infrastructure in the Emirates of Dubai.

The candidate must have a relevant degree from a recognized university and must have thoughtful knowledge and work experience of no less than 10 -12 years of infrastructure works. He must be able to take on the spot decisions and able to deal with all service authorities. The candidate must have a thoughtful knowledge and experience in managing the site works for construction and sewage treatment plants and pumping station works of different disciplines he must have also thorough knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works.

Familiar with DM guidelines in following the progress of the works and manage the inspection activities of all the consultants staff ensure that the actual works are matching with the planned works as per the construction work program using quality assurance, quantity surveying and project network techniques (Primavera P3).

• The candidate must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Primavera P3.

• Confident in his own ability to control the works

• Excellent written and communication skills (English), time management and supervisory skills

• Demonstrated ability to prepare instructions, specifications and reports and cost estimates.

• Capacity to make decision

• Ability to liaise with DM and other infrastructure authorities.
