Job summary

ALEC Holdings PJSC is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor - Assistant to support cost management on UAE-based construction projects. You will assist in valuations, subcontractor payments, and cost tracking while learning from a seasoned team.

You'll contribute to tendering, log maintenance, and report preparation, working closely with project managers, procurement, and site teams. This role offers growth and exposure to landmark developments in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of commercial procedures in construction.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the QS function.
• Proficient in MS Excel; familiar with AutoCAD basics.
• Regional or Middle East commercial experience in fitout or construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure quantities from drawings and verify on-site works for valuation support.
• Assist in preparing subcontractor payments and internal cost tracking sheets.
• Maintain logs of variations, drawings, RFIs, and site instructions.
• Support procurement documentation and quotation comparisons.
• Help prepare reports, meeting minutes, and commercial correspondence.
• Track material deliveries and site records relevant to commercial evaluation.
• Maintain cost databases and update records under supervision.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required by management.
