We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (UAE National) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
1. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Assist Project Managers in implementing established project processes and procedures.
- Prepare and assist in establishing the Baseline schedule, budgets, and resource-loaded schedule.
- Assist in developing the project work program and timeline with the project team.
- Develop the Project Management Plan.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Help track project costs and ensure the project stays within budget by working with financial data and reports.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies under the guidance of senior project managers.
Resource Management:
- Assist in allocating resources efficiently and ensuring adequate staffing.
- Organize and schedule communication processes with the project teams, including meetings, recording minutes, and following up on action items.
Contract Management:
- Understand contract terms and help manage contractual obligations, variations, and compliance issues.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Provide timely and professional support to clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain communication with clients to update them on project progress and address any concerns.
2. Competencies:
- Understand project management and financial month-end calendars, and meet Project Managers' requirements.
- Be accountable and drive quality by providing accurate reports and monitoring within set timelines.
- Analyze project data (costs, progress, performance) to identify trends or issues.

3. Person Specifications and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field; solid understanding of engineering principles related to architectural, civil, or mechanical projects.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduation experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools or project-specific engineering software, as well as project management tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera.
