Job Description

The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department (CPE) at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Petroleum Engineering with specialization in Drilling Engineering. Recognized for its academic excellence, the UAEU consistently ranks among the top universities in the region. All engineering programs, including the Petroleum Engineering, are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and The Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Minimum Qualification

  1. A Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related field.
  2. Demonstrated expertise and a strong publication record in Drilling Engineering or related areas.
  3. Evidence of teaching excellence or potential at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  4. A proven ability or potential to secure research funding from internal and external sources.
  5. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualification

  1. Industry experience in drilling engineering or related fields.
  2. Experience in teaching and curriculum development for drilling engineering courses.
  3. Record of mentoring students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
