- Ph.D. in Basic Medical Sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, Histopathology, or related fields)
Job Description
- Develop and deliver courses to students in the specified discipline areas of study, including lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histopathology, and Microbiology.
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to improve and sustain student success.
- Ability to teach a variety of specialized courses in Basic Medical Sciences, including conducting laboratory sessions and supervising student practicals.
- Engage and conduct quality research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and supervise undergraduate research projects.
- Support and engage in curriculum development, course management, and review of teaching strategies aligned with University and accreditation standards.
- Contribute effectively to the college and university initiatives by participating in departmental meetings, academic planning, and quality assurance processes.
- Support and participate in accreditation initiatives at local and international levels through curriculum mapping and alignment.
- Promote and guide students to envision their future careers by providing academic guidance, mentorship in academic and research activities, and ensuring they are equipped to meet this challenge.
- Maintain relationships with students that are conducive to learning through a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Initiate and participate in effective community engagement activities, such as organizing academic events, workshops, and seminars, aiming to benefit the AAU and local community.
